Douglas Walton's role as the Party Gossip

Douglas Walton briefly appeared in the beginning parts of this film in a party scene.  He and a much older man were smoking cigarettes and were casually talking about something.  They made some kind of joke and they both chuckled while the older guy tapped onto Walton's coat with his cigarette hand.

When the party ended, the scene opens to a faraway shot outside of the building's entrance.  As he was walking down the stairs, Douglas Walton shook hands with Elissa Landi and one of them said "Thank you."

This may be the first or second time Douglas Walton worked with Elissa Landi.  They were both in an earlier movie called "Body and Soul" (1931), but I'm not sure if they shared a scene in that film.  I know for sure they worked together again, playing as mother and son, Mercedes and Albert Mondego, in "The Count of Monte Cristo" (1934).  So indeed, they worked together at least 2 times in their film career.
